Ed Rawle, CEO & Founder


Over the past 20 years, Ed Rawle has served as Chief Economist and advisor to CEOs in the energy, mining and metals sectors. Most recently he led the analytics division of Baker Hughes where his team advised on key market developments and what this could mean for technology trends. Prior to that, Ed was Chief Economist of ADNOC, based in Abu Dhabi where his team advised on short- and long-term energy market developments, group strategy, and UAE macroeconomic policy. Before moving to the Middle East, Ed was Chief Economist and Global Head of Oils Research at Wood Mackenzie – based out of Houston, and Edinburgh. At Wood Mackenzie, Ed advised a wide variety of clients across the energy and metals sectors.

Ed holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Southampton and a Bachelors in Economics from The University of Birmingham. He is also an alumnus of the London School of Economics. Ed lives in London with his young family.

Niall McMahon, COO & Founder


Niall is an experienced analyst who enjoys solving problems, connecting the dots between challenge and capability. For the last 20 plus years he has practiced delivering actionable insight through data-led storytelling. Niall has expertise in leadership, innovation & ideation, quantitative & qualitative analysis and commercial research strategy. Industry experience as an oilfield engineer in his early career, a commissioning engineer with Siemens and an energy analyst with Wood Mackenzie where, based out of New York, he built out the Institutional Investor research offering. Following the buyout of Wood Mackenzie by Verisk in 2015 Niall moved to sister company Verisk Maplecroft as SVP Head of Research. Most recently Niall served on the Executive Leadership Team at Cipher, a London-based patent analytics start-up, which was sold to LexisNexis in 2023.

Niall is a graduate of chemical engineering from University College Dublin and lives in Torrey, Utah with his family, dog and cat.

Lynda Logan


Lynda Logan is Chief Revenue Officer at Reorg, an intelligence and analytics company focusing on sub investment grade credit.  She joined Reorg as a board member when they were owned by PE firm Warburg Pincus and she was involved in the sale of Reorg from Warburg Pincus to Permira in 2022.  Prior to Reorg, she was with Wood Mackenzie for over 20 years in a variety of roles ranging from European and Latin America energy research and consulting positions, to the EVP of sales where she was part of WoodMac’s executive team.  She worked in Edinburgh, Houston and NYC, and continues to be based in NYC.  She also served as a Trustee for the National Museums of Scotland for 8 years and continues to be the Chair and President of the American Foundation of the National Museums of Scotland. 

Professor Karl Rose


Professor Karl Rose is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Energie Steiermark AG, a regional power utility in Austria. He also sits on the Supervisory Board of OMV AG, the Austrian national oil & gas company.

Prof. Rose spent most of his career with Shell where he held a number of leadership roles based around the world. His last role with Shell was Chief Strategist where he was responsible for advising the CEO and Board on the strategic direction of the company and communicating this to governments and external stakeholders. Since leaving Shell in 2010, Prof. Rose has held leadership positions at the World Energy Council in London and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in the UAE.

Prof. Rose is involved in several company foundations and start-ups focused on environmental technology, blockchain technology, and electric mobility. Prof. Rose also lecturers on Strategic Management and Applied Corporate Management at the Karl Franzens University in Graz, Austria.

Rod Christie


Rod Christie sits on the Board of Venture Global, a leading North American LNG producer. He is a veteran of the renewable power and energy technology sectors, with over 30 years of international experience. Rod is committed to driving the global energy transition, having held roles in the Hydrogen Council and the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance.

Most recently, Rod was CEO of large and wide-ranging divisions of Baker Hughes. His teams supported the entire energy value chain - providing equipment and services to onshore and offshore oil & gas, gas processing, LNG, refining and petrochemicals. He also led the Climate Technology Solutions, and Industrial Asset Management divisions which focused on solutions for hydrogen, CCUS, integrated clean energy, and emissions management to support customers' net-zero emission ambitions.

Prior to joining Baker Hughes, Rod spent 15 years at Scottish Hydro Electric in a wide range of engineering, project development and management roles.

Bill Durbin


Bill Durbin is a veteran of the energy industry. With a career spanning over 30 years, he has considerable experience in energy analytics, strategy and policy development, and geo-political and economic analysis applied to all aspects of the energy industry.

Bill started his career as an economist in the US Department of Energy before transitioning to the private sector, where he worked at CERA across multiple product leadership roles. After CERA, Bill stepped into a producer role, working for Wintershall AG, where he was responsible for acquiring and managing upstream assets in Brazil. Bill then returned to research, leading various Wood Mackenzie market research divisions before becoming EVP of Global Research, based out of Houston. As EVP, Bill led a global organization of nearly 600 analysts focused on the hydrocarbon, renewables, metals, and mining value chains.

Matt Moshiri


Matthew Moshiri is President of Verisk Maplecroft, a global risk intelligence company providing insight into sustainability, resilience and ESG issues. Before becoming President, Matt served as Chief Commercial Officer and Global Head of Consulting for Verisk Maplecroft where he redesigned the company’s advisory capabilities and offering to establish the company as a trusted advisor to some of the world’s largest companies and organizations.

Before joining Verisk Maplecroft, Matt advised energy clients at Wood Mackenzie on a range of commercial-related issues. Matt began his career with AES Corporation and PWC in Caracas, Venezuela, where he focused on Latin American and Caribbean energy markets.

Stewart Hogg


Stewart is Chief Revenue Officer of Cipher, an Intellectual Property analytics provider. He has over 20 years of experience in developing commercial strategies across data analytics, research and consulting. Stewart has a track record in establishing effective commercial structures and cultures. At Cipher he led the commercial turnaround – restructuring the commercial group and created a clear value proposition to directly address customer needs. This led to a more than doubling in renewable revenue. The business was successfully sold to Lexis Nexis IP in 2023.

Previously Stewart was Head of Sales and Marketing at Maplecroft. Stewart has also held several leadership positions at energy intelligence provider Wood Mackenzie, based in Edinburgh, London and New York.
